What does Halo cover?
Workmanship & Materials
Halo covers defects in workmanship and materials that don’t meet the New Zealand Building Code or accepted standards in the first two years. If something goes wrong and your builder can’t or won’t fix it, Halo can step in to get it sorted – giving you peace of mind from day one.
Structural Defects
You’re covered for serious structural issues like problems with foundations, framing, load-bearing walls, floors, and roof systems for up to 10 years. Even some weathertightness issues are included if they cause damage to your home – because the big things should never become big problems.
Claim-related Costs
If you need to move out during repair work due to a covered claim, Halo can help cover the cost of temporary accommodation, moving and storing furniture, and even professional fees for engineers or surveyors up to $30,000.
